Birding – DeBoville Slough is a great place to bird (look for birds). It is consistently one of the best birding areas in the Tri-Cities on the annual Christmas Bird Count. DeBoville Slough is always changing, over wintering birds, spring migrant, summer nesters and all year around birds, DeBoville Slough has it all. A combination of tidal fresh water, drainage ditches, agricultural land and the Pitt River make for a varied habitat. You can see small birds, waterfowl, raptors and the occasional bird you would expect to see on the salt water, like cormorants. Here is some information on birds that were seen at DeBoville Slough, as posted on eBird, and few you would expect to see in February.
